The festivals are originally Chinese traditions, but these have been handed down for a long time in connection with ancient Japanese events. In China, since the odd number is considered a good and the idea that the odd number overlap is a good idea, day for the festivals are as follows:
•January 7: Person Day Festival (Since January 1st is New Year Festival, January is exceptional for odd number.)
•March 3: Girls’ Festival/Peach Festival
•May 5: Boys’ Festival
•July 7: Star Festival
September 9: Chrysanthemum Festival
